Banana chocolate loaf

3 oz butter or margarine
4 oz sugar
6 oz SR flour
2 oz cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
2 ripe bananas (black is fine)
A splosh of milk
45g bar of black chocolate
Throw everything but the milk and bar of chocolate into a food processor, and whizz until smooth, adding enough milk to get to a dropping consistency.
Chop up the chocolate bar with a knife, cutting each square into four. Mix into the rest of the mixture.
Pile into a greased 2 lb loaf tin and cook at 180C for 50 minutes, or 150 for about 60 minutes, until it springs back when pressed lightly, and a knife inserted comes out clean.
Turn out as soon as manageable, and allow to cool, then wrap in a bread bag. This loaf improves after a couple of days.
