heart shaped washcloth

Really simple to make, so long as you are able to knit, cast on and cast off!

you will need:

red cotton yarn

( I used wendy supreme luxury cotton DK)

4mm needles

the ability to knit!

abbreviations:

c/o = cast on

c/off = cast off

K = knit

M = make a stitch by knitting into front and back of stitch

instructions:

c/o 1 stitch.

repeat row 3 until you have 36 stitches

K 4 rows

K2, pass first stitch over second stitch, K to end

repeat last row three times

Next row:

K16 turn. Working on these stitches only:

K2, pass first stitch over second stitch, K to end

repeat last row until you have 11 stitches

C/Off 2 stitches, K to end

K2, pass first stitch over second stitch, K to end

C/Off 2 stitches, K to end

C/Off 4 stitches, leave a long tail.

rejoin yarn to remaining stitches at centre of heart,

K1 row

K2, pass first stitch over second stitch, K to end

repeat last row until 10 stitches remain

C/Off 2 stitches, K to end

C/Off 4 stitches, leave a long tail.

sew the tails in carefully, tidying any edges.
