Our wool.
We keep a very small flock of sheep at our Devon home, on the edge of Dartmoor.
We aim to raise livestock in comfortable conditions, animal welfare being one of the main motives.
We don’t farm organically, but only treat the animals when we feel it is necessary, for their own welfare. We do no use any fertilizers or pesticides on the land.
Our sheep are happy sheep, who come to us for a pat.
We wash the wool, then either use the natural colour of the wool (we have both black and white sheep), or dye it using either natural or commercial dyes.
The wool is carded into batts -
