spicey biscuits

Delicious and crunchy, a family favourite.

200g SR flour

100g butter

100g soft dark brown sugar

1 egg

2 tsp mixed spice

Bung the flour and butter in a food processor and blitz until it looks like breadcrumbs. Add the sugar and spice, and mix again. Now mix in the egg and keep going until the mixture forms into a ball. Flour a board and rolling pin and roll out to about 4-5mm. Cut using your favourite cutters and bake at about 150C near the top of the oven for about 1/2 hour, or until the biscuits are golden brown. Allow to cool a little.
